Neurofeedback builds empathy and increases affection

Here is an interesting article on some research on how neurofeedback can help individuals be less reactive to one another and have more empathy to each others states and be more affectionate.

I have certainly had this experience myself with my wife and many clients say they have as well.  By helping the brain to orient more toward relaxation rather than fight or flight states, we can take that moment before the reaction happens to take that breath or perceive how the other person is feeling, rather then just reacting automatically.  Once you have had some neurofeedback, this all makes sense.
